NEW SUNDAY MORNING BIBLE STUDIES AT 9:45

Connecting the Dots: How the details of the Bible connect to the grand story of God’s redeeming love.

Join Pastors Dan and Brian in the Fellowship Hall! From the first to the last page of Scripture God has a purpose. The details all point in the same direction. Every person, place, thing, and event is meant to draw us closer to the Messiah, Jesus.

While most Christians get this, it’s at times hard to understand how each dot is connected. Many of us don’t know the key people, places, and events that build this story. When we do know them, though, and learn how they are connected, they help lay a foundation for us that helps us stand on the firm ground of God and His promises to us.

If you’d like to have a sense of this week’s topic, Creation & Restoration, read Genesis 1 and 2, along with Revelation 21:22-22:21.

Zechariah, Malachi, Haggai

Charlie Johnson is starting a new study looking at these three minor prophets. Classes are offered in person in the library at 9:40 on Sunday mornings and on Zoom Sunday evenings at 6:00 pm.

Cross+Gen: Growing in Faith with All Ages

Cross+Gen is a discipleship time that brings all ages together to learn and grow in faith through prayer, praise, the reading of scripture, movement, and discussion. The aim is to build lasting relationships across generations where the gifts of the younger meet the needs of the older and vice versa.

Join us in the room next to the kitchen as we dig into God’s Word with fun activities and discussion!

Daily Devotions, DCE, Debt-Free…and Other January Updates

It’s 2022! Here is what we’ve got coming up. Scroll down to sign up for new daily devotions from our pastors.

We Want to Hear from You!

We can never replace Miss Tracy Krueger, but we know God has new plans for leadership in our children and family ministries. What are you hoping God provides in a new DCE? What do you see as needs for the families in our congregation?

Please gather with us on January 9th at 9:45AM to share your input. St. Andrews is the only Lutheran presence for children, youth, and family ministry in Stockton…so please consider how we can serve you, your children, your grandchildren, and families in our communities!

If you are unable to attend this meeting in person, you’re welcome to email Pastor Dan with your thoughts.

Thank You, Boni…and Welcome, Erika!
We are so thankful for the three years Boni Hamilton served as a loving and dedicated band coordinator for our contemporary service. She has now stepped down from that position, feeling God call her toward concentration on other areas of ministry.

In His faithfulness, God also drew Erika Kleinert toward the band position! Erika is a music director at Cesar Chavez High School, and she and her husband Brandon have been involved with music at St. Andrews for some time. Erika will be serving St. Andrews on a part-time basis, and is passionate about nurturing and guiding the band.

If you’d like to be involved with music at our contemporary service, please contact Erika at erika@stalc.org.
We Did It!

Your incredible generosity has enabled us to move forward with our courtyard renovation DEBT-FREE! We are continuing the permitting process and look forward to beginning construction as soon the city gives the last green light. Thank you for your faithfulness!

Serve and Be Served This Month!

It’s an exciting month at St. Andrews!

Q: What do turkey, spaghetti, hockey, shoeboxes, See’s Candies, and helpful teens all have in common?

A: They all involve ways for you to serve and be served during the next few weeks! Check out these awesome opportunities…and be sure to scroll all the way to the end to see how you can get free labor!

When: Now until November 14th is our last window to collect boxes and donations for this incredible ministry to children around the world!

Why: Some of these children have never owned anything before…and many of them have never heard of Jesus.

How: Get your box and packing list from St. Andrews on Sunday, OR put a donation in the dropbox in the Narthex, OR click here to build a shoebox online.

When: Tickets on sale now until November 14th. Dinner is on November 19th at 6PM.

Why: Eighteen of our high schoolers, young adults, and adult mentors will be attending the National Youth Gathering in Texas next summer. We can help them get there!

How: Buy tickets after church services or contact Pastor Brian. $15 for ages 12 and up, $5 for 11 and younger, or $30 for families with children under age 12.

When: Order See’s chocolates and treats now through November 19th. Delivery before Christmas.

Why: Our own Newday preschoolers are fundraising! Help out these sweet kiddos AND spread the joy of candy to you loved ones.

When: Get your tickets for the Faith Night hockey game + Christian concert before November 19th! Game is December 3rd at 7PM.

Why: This is another opportunity to raise funds for those attending the National Youth Gathering. Each $20 ticket covers the game and the concert–and half that purchase goes to the St. Andrews youth!

How: Hit up Pastor Brian for tickets. He has a limited number, so don’t wait!

When: Collecting groceries and donations for our Thanksgiving Baskets until November 21st at 9:45AM.

Why: Not everyone in our community is able to provide a feast for their family. Bless 45 families in Stockton with a full turkey dinner in a basket!

How: Bring donations to church (please try not to bring turkeys too far in advance). Click here for a list of what you can donate…or designate checks to St. Andrews for “Thanksgiving Baskets.”

When: Get help in the yard or around the house whenever it’s convenient!

Why: Our H2H students are looking for ways to put their faith in action by serving others. If you’ve got yard work, cleaning, filing, pet care, or other chores, consider calling in a middle-schooler to help!

How: Coordinate by contacting Michael Rehbein or Pastor Brian.
